Compliments from satisfied customers not only make you look good, but they add a measure of credibility to your product or service. In a time when people have to trust you to part with their money, testimonials are essential.

Because they're so important, it's good to show your testimonials everywhere. Just make sure you have more than one and show a different testimonial in each spot.

Did you know that testimonials can be displayed one at a time in a small square block. It's not too obtrusive, but is still moderately attention-getting. A nice JQuery slide show allows the testimonials to fade in and out quite elegantly. 

Gather, Gather, Gather

Now you just need more testimonials. The very best way to gather new testimonials is with a Customer Satisfaction survey. It can be in the form or a card, a paper questionnaire or even an online form on your web site. The added benefit is that your customers/clients are more likely to appreciate your attentiveness. 

Other methods include offering coupon or gift for filling out an evaluation or throwing a party and interviewing the attendees. 

WHAT NOT TO DO

Don't send out a mass email asking for testimonials. It looks desperate and impersonal and won't win you points. You need to be personable when evoking a comment, whether positive or negative.
